Details:   For the first time in the history of our organization, we are proud to announce that Newark Community Economic Development Corporation will host its first NCEDC Annual Golf Tournament on September 28, 2017 at the Forest Hill Field Club! Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (Newark CEDC) is the primary economic development catalyst for the State of New Jersey’s largest city, Newark. It is organized to retain, attract and grow businesses, enhance small and minority business capacity, and spur real estate development throughout the City’s 20 diverse neighborhoods. Our impact has touched each corner of our city; launched five retail incubators, served over 3,000 businesses, oversaw the redevelopment of over 2,500 residential units and 1.5 million square feet of office and retail space, helped remediate brownfield sites, hosted over 40 ribbon cutting of new businesses, trained and assisted nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs, launched three new business improvement districts, and raised over $40m in funding for the development of some of the city’s largest projects including Riverfront Park and Mulberry Commons. Details:     For the first time in the history of our organization, we are proud to announce that Newark Community Economic Development Corporation will host a gala on December 7, 2017 in celebration of our great city and all its marvel with our friends, community and business partners! On this special night- that will be 100% Newark produced- we’re excited to showcase local talent, good eats, creatives, and more. The theme for the evening is A Night of Newark; an unprecedented celebration of all things Newark. True to the mission of the Newark Community Economic Development Corporation (Newark CEDC), and to underscore Mayor Ras J. Baraka’s innovative Hire Buy Live initiative, the event will be entirely produced by Newark entrepreneurs, vendors, and businesses. From the decor and entertainment, to equipment rentals and auction items, Newark CEDC is committed to demonstrating that Newark is equipped to produce a high-end 100% locally sourced event. As the primary economic development catalyst for the State of New Jersey's largest city, Newark CEDC is organized to retain, attract and grow businesses, enhance small and minority business capacity, and spur real estate development throughout the City's 20 diverse neighborhoods. Our impact has touched each corner of our city; launched five retail incubators, served over 3,000 businesses, sparked the redevelopment of over 2,500 residential units and 1.5 million square feet of office and retail space, helped remediate over 30 acres of brownfields, hosted over 40 ribbon cutting of new businesses, trained nearly 200 entrepreneurs, launched three new business improvement districts, and raised over $40mm in funding for the development of some of the city’s largest projects including Riverfront Park and Mulberry Commons.
